Energy Check
The energy check is aimed at municipalities that want to support energy renovation and energy optimization in citizens’ homes.
What is a home energy check?
During a home energy check, one of our energy advisors has a meeting with the homeowner and inspects the property. This meeting typically lasts for about one hour.
The home is reviewed for cost-effective energy improvements, which include the building envelope, technical installations, and energy-consuming appliances.
In addition, the homeowners’ experiences and the improvements that are realistically achievable are discussed. In this context, we go over the homeowner’s preferences regarding solutions and budget, as well as the possibility of applying for energy subsidies.
The homeowner receives an energy report no later than 14 days after the meeting. The report describes and calculates energy improvements, subsidy opportunities, and other relevant information.
Based on the energy check, the homeowner receives an energy report that includes:
- Recommendations for energy renovation measures
- Savings potential in monetary terms, kWh, and CO2
- Investment and payback period
- Practical advice on the next steps and implementation of measures
To provide the most professional advice, our focus is, among other things, on what each homeowner finds relevant. This increases the likelihood that the measures will be implemented and realized. There are almost always energy savings for the homeowners after our visit.
The municipality receives a report at the end of the first quarter of the year following the advisory process, including data on savings in kWh, finances, and CO2, as well as investments for:
- The projects that were realized
- Average realization per household based on all advisory visits carried out
- An overview of all completed projects and recommendations
